Media reports on 10 October 2017 state that British London Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) forensic expert Mark Moseley who works at crime scenes for the MPS, has developed the kit in his spare time after being asked by his two daughters to find a way to save elephants. It can allow fingerprints to be obtained from ivory for up to 28 days after it has been handled.
