Όντας για πολλοστή φορά υποψήφιος, ο Τζον Χαμ απέσπασε επιτέλους το βραβείο α’ ανδρικού ρόλου σε δραματική σειρά για την ερμηνεία του ως Ντον Ντρέιπερ στη σειρά «Mad Men». Η Βαϊόλα Ντέιβις κέρδισε το βραβείο α’ γυναικείου ρόλου σε δραματική σειρά για το «Το Πώς να την Γλιτώσεις με Φόνο» (How to Get Away with Murder) και πλέον είναι η πρώτη μαύρη γυναίκα στην ιστορία της αμερικανικής τηλεόρασης που κερδίζει αυτό το βραβείο.
